Okay, it’s going to be hot this weekend. So here’s a genius treat: your favourite summer cocktails in a icy-pole form that you can make at home. Seriously, what could be better?
You probably have all the ingredients already, and you can make them easily at home. They all follow a similar recipe – all you need is your usual cocktail ingredients, a blender, a popsicle mold and a freezer.
Here are some of our favourite ideas. But, umm, just make sure the kids don’t grab them by mistake. It could get messy.
1. PIMM’S Cup.
Pimms is the taste of summer. A bit like a fruit salad, but with alcohol. It’s refreshing, has the perfect amount of sweetness and is the ideal drink to turn into a popsicle.
To make the perfect Pimms Cup, according to Shutterbean, just make a jug of Pimms with ginger beer or lemonade (whatever tickles your fancy), drop some fruit into the popsicle mold, pour in the liquid and freeze. Get the recipe here.
